A colonial-era introduction, this native of Japan has showy flowers which bloom early summer and are white with a hint of blue. A great choice for a shady spot in the garden that needs some height, the Hydrangea anomala petiolaris will provide a lovely backdrop for other summer blooming perennials. With a maximum height of 1200 cm, this climbing hydrangea is perfect for gardens with high trellises or fences.
