This low, spreading shrub is covered in small, fragrant flowers from spring to summer. The flowers are blue and showy when they bloom but turn a more subtle shade of blue as the weather cools. Ceanothus thyrsiflorus var. repens is great for a sunny spot in the garden where it can spread out and take over.
