Zamioculcas zamiifolia

Zamioculcas zamiifolia is native to eastern Africa from Kenya to Mozambique, including Tanzania and Madagascar. The plant has been popularized as a houseplant in Western countries since the 1980s due to its attractive glossy leaves that can reach up to 50 cm long. It has a low-maintenance nature and can adapt to many different conditions. It is often used as an accent plant and only needs to be watered about once every 1 or 2 weeks. Fossils of ZZ have been found making them one of the earliest known plants on Earth.
